Molly is really into building tents these days. It started out downstairs in her playroom. We have a big sheet that we clip to the piano, the gate, chairs, etc., to make a little fort. She loves to crawl in and read books.
This tent making has made its way upstairs to her crib. Too many nights, I had to go back up and fix her tent because I heard this over the monitor: "MAMA!! MY TENT IS RUINED!" [Yes, the all caps and exclamation points are necessary.] The clever mama that I am, I figured out that her links would work as clips to keep her tent from falling. So now if her TENT IS RUINED, it's her own fault, not just an accident. And I don't have to feel guilty and go back upstairs to fix it!
[And yes, she's still in her crib. Until she tries to climb out or asks for a big girl bed, we will keep her cribbed!]
Let that toddler out!
