We had our confirmation appointment today, and we got to see this:
A tiny little baby, about the size of a blueberry, measuring just where s/he should be. 7w2d.
What a blessing. What a sweet, sweet blessing.
There was a tiny little flickering heart beat. It filled my heart with happiness and excitement!
There wasn't much to the appointment since I had my regular check-up just a couple of months ago. We talked to dr. k. for a while, told her we wanted another c-section (which she said was best), she told me I could have a publix sub if I wanted it (it's all I want!), told us about optional testing, and then did an ultrasound to date the pregnancy. Since I didn't ovulate until CD29, I knew I was 7w. According to my LMP, I could have been 9w. I knew I was right though, and of course, I was.
EDD: Nov. 13, 2011
You see that date up there? 11/13/11. With a c-section, that means I can schedule it. That means I want an 11/11/11 baby! Don't you think that would be the best birthday ever? I jokingly told dr. k. that I wanted to go ahead and schedule my c-section for 11/11/11. She told me to have her secretary call and see if they would book an OR this far in advance. Alas, the OR didn't have the calendar pages for November yet, but her secretary told me to keep reminding her every appointment and we will try to get it. I'm on a mission!
My main mission though? Keeping that little blueberry in my belly!
